Who we are

One trusted partner for safe access

Arctic Scaffolding designs, erects and manages temporary access for some of the UK’s most demanding sites — from live aircraft hangars and occupied offices to listed heritage buildings.

Every scaffold is planned around the people who use the building, so the work gets done safely without stopping operations.

As part of Arctic Group, we work alongside Arctic Fire, Cooling and Glazing: one partner, one standard.

Every scaffold designed for the site, not taken from a catalogue.

Safety as standard

Planned. Inspected. Handed over.

A scaffold is only as safe as the planning, erection and inspection behind it. Every Arctic Scaffolding job is designed for its site, erected by our own trained teams and inspected before anyone uses it — then inspected again for as long as it stands.

Design
Designed before we build

Standard scaffolds to NASC TG20:21. Anything beyond is designed by independent design engineers and system manufacturers, and signed off before erection.

Erection
Our own teams

Trained, PPE-equipped scaffolders working to NASC SG4:22 for safe erection, alteration and dismantling.

Protection
Edge & public protection

Full edge protection, brick guards, fans, gantries, padded standards and clear signage where the public pass.

Inspection
Before use & every 7 days

Inspected before first use, at intervals of no more than seven days and after anything that could affect it.

Handover
Handover certificate

Each scaffold is handed over in writing, stating its loading, its limits and what it is designed to do.

Security
Alarmed when needed

Scaffold alarms, secure hoarding and removed ladders keep the building safe out of hours.

01

Access & working platforms

Independent and tied scaffolds for façades, repairs and refurbishment, boarded and edge-protected at every working lift.

02

Stair & access towers

Safe stair access to height in hangars, atriums and plant areas, built so the space below keeps working.

03

Temporary walkways & ramps

Level, boarded routes over excavations, services and uneven ground, with handrails and toe boards throughout.

04

Protected pedestrian routes

Gantries, covered walkways and pedestrian tunnels that keep entrances and public paths open during the works.

05

Roof & edge protection

Edge protection and roof access for pitched and flat roofs, chimney stacks and gutter works.

06

Plant room & confined access

Bespoke platforms in plant rooms, ceiling voids and tight spaces where a standard scaffold will not fit.

How it works

From enquiry to strike

One controlled process for every scaffold, from the first site visit to the last tube off site.

01

Enquiry

Tell us about the building, the work and the programme.

02

Site visit

We look at access, ground, loads and the people around the works.

03

Design

A TG20 compliance sheet or a bespoke design, with a clear scope and price.

04

Erect

Our own teams build it, sequenced around live operations.

05

Inspect

Handed over in writing, then inspected at least every seven days.

06

Strike

Taken down and cleared away, leaving the site as we found it.
