What we work to
Every scaffold we erect is planned, built and inspected to the regulations and industry guidance below.
Work at Height Regulations 2005
The law that governs every scaffold: planning, competent people, edge protection and inspection. Regulation 12 and Schedule 7 set the inspection regime we follow.
Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
CDM sets how work is planned and managed on site. We provide our RAMS and work to the principal contractor’s construction phase plan.
NASC TG20:21
The industry guide to good practice for tube and fitting scaffolding. Standard scaffolds are issued with a TG20 compliance sheet; anything outside it is designed.
NASC SG4:22
The industry guidance on preventing falls during scaffold erection, alteration and dismantling. Our teams work to it on every job.
BS EN 12811-1:2003
The European standard for the performance and design of temporary works equipment, including scaffold load classes.
Inspected for as long as it stands
Scaffold inspection is a legal requirement, not an optional extra. Under the Work at Height Regulations 2005 every scaffold we erect is inspected:
No one uses the scaffold until it has been inspected by a competent person and handed over in writing.
Inspected at intervals of no more than seven days for as long as it stands, with a written report each time.
Inspected again after high winds, heavy weather or any alteration that could affect its strength or stability.

How our teams work
Planned for the site
A site visit before every job, so ground conditions, loads, ties and the people around the works are planned for, not discovered.
RAMS for every job
Site-specific risk assessments and method statements, briefed to the team before work starts.
Protecting the public
Barriers, padded standards, covered walkways and signage wherever the scaffold meets a public route.
Secure out of hours
Ladders removed or boarded, hoarding secured and scaffold alarms fitted where the building needs them.
Tidy sites
Materials stored on loading bays, not on routes, and the site cleared when the scaffold is struck.
Handover in writing
Each scaffold handed over with its load class, its limits and the date of its next inspection.
